LONDON (ICIS news)--Crude prices continued to rise on Thursday taking the front month ICE Futures August Brent contract above $77.00/bbl, within striking distance of the $78.65/bbl record high set on 10 August 2006.
It reached a high of $77.07 in mid-afternoon trading.

Earlier, August NYMEX crude had also hit its highest level since late August 2006, taking the front month contract above the $73.50/bbl mark.
