HOUSTON (ICIS news)--The US Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) on Tuesday praised support for biofuels in the House of Representatives.
The RFA expressed thanks to House Agriculture Committee chairman Collin Peterson (Democrat-Minnesota) and the committee's top Republican, Bob Goodlatte (Virginia), for advancing bipartisan biofuels legislation.
“For the American farmer, the ethanol industry provides the opportunity to enjoy some of the value added to their commodity by further processing,” the association said.
Now nearing completion in the Agriculture Committee, bill HR-2419, the Farm, Nutrition and Bioenergy Act of 2007, is expected to go to the House floor this week.
