HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US-based Huntsman is acquiring the global fluorochemical business for the non-wovens industry of counterpart DuPont, the company said on Wednesday.

Under the agreement, Huntsman said it would assume responsibility for all activities related to the business, adding the two companies would develop new products for non-wovens. The pair did not disclose financial details.

However, the agreement does not include the transfer of DuPont employees or the sale of the manufacturing assets of the business.

The business includes DuPont's Zonyl product line, which is used in non-wovens to repel water, alcohol and oil-based fluids.
