TOKYO (ICIS news)--Toyo Gosei’s plant producing photo sensitive material in Chiba prefecture exploded and killed two workers on Tuesday, the company said in a statement.

The fire was extinguished at 1 pm local time.
The explosion had occurred in the drying process of the material, the Japanese chemicals producer said.
It added further investigations by local authorities were under way.
Toyo Gosei produces photosensitive materials for semi-conductors and liquid crystal displays, photopolymers and ionic liquid electrolytes.
