HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US chemical major DuPont plans to make three equity investments in biofuels totaling $300m (€207m) in the next 12 to 18 months, the company said on Tuesday.

DuPont did not elaborate on the exact nature of the investments.

The investments are part of a regional plan that includes an option for biobutanol expansion, cellulosic-ethanol development and accelerating technological development, said company spokeswoman Michelle Reardon.

Reardon was quoting from a presentation that a DuPont executive made during an investor meeting.
