HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Engineering company KBR said on Wednesday it has met all contractual obligations related to the Lanzhou 600,000 ton/year ethylene plant in China, which uses the company’s proprietary technology.

The Gansu Province plant is owned and operated by PetroChina Lanzhou Petrochemical, Houston-based KBR said.

The plant is the first in China to use KBR’s proprietary technology for the facility’s furnace cracking and recovery sections, the company said.

KBR said it previously supplied technology for two expansion cracking furnaces at Daqing, China.
