LONDON (ICIS news)--The start-up of Borealis’s new 330,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant at Burghausen in Germany is progressing as planned after delays to the initial schedule, a company source said on Thursday.

He said further information on the start-up would be available at the end of the year.

The new unit had been due to start at the end of November but had been delayed as a result of technical issues.

PP producers in Europe include Basell, Borealis, INEOS Polyolefins, Total Petrochemicals, Saudi Basic Industries (SABIC), Repsol and Dow.
