LONDON (ICIS news)--Algeria's Sonatrach has increased butane and decreased propane prices for January loading, a company source said on Monday.

Propane was priced down $15/tonne (€10/tonne) on December levels at $835/tonne FOB (free on board) Bethouia, while butane was increased $5/tonne to $835/tonne FOB Bethouia for December loading, the source said, leaving the two products at parity.

Liquefied petroluem gas (LPG) Market participants attributed the adjustments to the perception that there was no longer a premium over either product.

The state-owned company produces 200,000 bbl/day of oil equivalent, according to its company website.
