Safco set to restart its urea IV plant at Al-Jubail

LONDON (ICIS news)--Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Co (Safco) is set to restart its IV urea unit in Al-Jubail in the coming days following planned maintenance work, a company source at the SABIC affiliate said on Wednesday.
The unit, which has a capacity of 1.1m tonnes/year of granular urea, was shut down at the end of January for scheduled work.
The source said the plant was due to be back up on schedule by 1 March. Contract customers were not impacted by the work as it was prepared for well in advance.
Safco, which is fully committed for the first quarter of 2008 and is yet to offer its second-quarter tonnes, has regular commitments in countries including
