LME Plastics: US propylene inventories fall 0.7%

LONDON (ICIS news)--Global and regional plastics futures prices from the London Metal Exchange are given in the table below.

US weekly non-fuel use propylene  inventories fell by 0.7% in the week ended 22 February.

The healthy economic climate is expected to result in double-digit growth in domestic demand for Brazilian company Braskem’s key products - polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) - in 2008.

Meanwhile, Russia's AK Bars Bank and South Korea's KP Chemical have formed a joint venture to build a new 300,000 tonne/year polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plant in Tatarstan
