LONDON (ICIS news)--INEOS ChlorVinyls is to sell its packed chlorine business to BOC, the subsidiary of UK-based chemical company INEOS said on Monday.

The sale would include the packed chlorine production facilities at its Runcorn site in northwest England and the associate commercial goodwill of the business, the company said in a statement.

Financial details were not disclosed and the sale still needs approval from the UK Office of Fair Trading before it can be completed.

BOC, who has recently been acquired by the Linde Group, is a good strategic fit with BOC's existing product portfolio, INEO ChlorVinyls said.

“We believe that BOC has the experience and the expertise to take this business forward and maximise it to its full potential,” it added.
