LONDON (ICIS news)--Iran Petrochemical Commercial Co (IPCC) has shut down its Razi II ammonia unit for repair work, a company source said on Wednesday.
The 950 tonne/day unit based at Bandar Imam Khomeini (BIK) was shut down early this week, with repair work likely to last a total of two weeks.
No further details, including the nature of the repair, were disclosed.
The work was originally scheduled for May, but was brought forward a month due to the current weak demand for ammonia.
Customers would not be impacted by the shut down as it had sufficient quantities to cover the period, said the company source.
IPCC has further ammonia units based in BIK, which combined with Razi II have a total ammonia capacity of around 3,700 tonnes/day.
