Praxair plans to build China air separation plant

HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US gas supplier Praxair plans to build a 400 tonne/day air separation plant in Jianxing, China, the company said on Wednesday.

The plant should start operations in mid-2009, the company added.

The plant would supply oxygen, nitrogen and argon to Zhenshi Group Eastern Special Steel, Praxair said.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
