Linde sells Germany valves unit to Finland's Metso

LONDON (ICIS news)--Linde has sold its valve production unit Mapag Valves to Finland’s Metso for €36m ($56m), the German industrial gases producer said on Wednesday.

 

Mapag was a non-core activity of its engineering division focused on producing butterfly valves for petrochemical air separation and liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants, it said.

 

Based in Horgau, southern Germany, the company employs a staff of around 100 and achieved sales of approximately €31m in 2007, said Linde.
