Taiwan’s CPC plans August turnaround at cracker

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Taiwan-based CPC Corp plans to shut down its No 5 cracker in August for maintenance, a source from the company said on Thursday.

"We will shut down the cracker from 15 August for a 43-day turnaround and restart the cracker on 26 September," the source added.

The 500,000 tonne/year unit is the only cracker in Kaohsiung and also the largest one owned by CPC.

CPC has two other crackers in Lin Yuan with a combined capacity of 615,000 tonne/year.
