SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--Lanzhou Petrochemical, a PetroChina subsidiary shut down its 14,000 tonne/year acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) line in Lanzhou, capital of Gansu province on 21 May, a company source said on Thursday.
"It’s a scheduled maintenance and the line will be shut for 20 days," the source said.
During the shutdown, the company’s supply to traders would reduce sharply he said, adding that this could lead to a rise in NBR values.
The company operates two NBR lines with a total capacity of 20,000 tonnes/year of which, the 6,000 tonne/year line was mothballed last year.
