LONDON (ICIS news)--Norwegian chemical major Yara International has appointed Egil Hogna as its new chief financial officer (CFO), the company said late on Monday.

Egil Hogna, who has been working for Yara since 1999 and currently manages Yara’s Mediterranean business unit from France, will take up his new position in August and succeeds Sven Ombudstvedt.

"I am pleased Egil has joined the management team as CFO," said Yara CEO and president Thorleif Enger, who is retiring in September.

"He has the strong corporate and industry knowledge required to continue the positive development of the company."

Hogna, 37, has held a number of management positions, including head of investor relations and corporate controller.
