SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Malaysia’s Titan Chemicals plans to shut down its 380,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant in Pasir Gudang around mid-August for a debottlenecking that will raise the plant’s capacity by 100,000 tonnes/year, a company source said on Monday.

“The plant will be shut for around three weeks for the debottlenecking,” the source said.

Other key PP producers in southeast Asia include Thai Polypropylene and HMC Polymers in Thailand and The Polyolefins Company in Singapore.
