Saudi Arabia’s IMC restarts methanol plant

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Saudi Arabia’s International Methanol Co (IMC) has restarted its 1m tonne/year plant over the weekend following a turnaround, a company source said on Monday.

The plant was shut for maintenance on 21 August.

IMC is a joint venture between Saudi International Petrochemical Co (Sipchem) and Japan-Arabia Methanol Co (JAMC).

Other major regional methanol producers include Saudi Basic Industries Corp (SABIC), Oman Methanol Company LLC, and Iran’s National Petrochemical Co (NPC).
