SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Taiwan's largest petrochemical producer Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPCC) has cut operating rates at two of its three crackers to 85-90% from late last week due to weak market conditions, a company source said on Monday.

The source said he was unclear how long the two crackers, which were previously running at 100%, would operate at the above reduced rates. The affected facilities, both located in Mailiao, are the 700,000 tonne/year No 1 cracker and the 1.03m tonne/year No 2 cracker.
