TORONTO (ICIS news)--Jacobs has won a contract for work on Neste Oil’s €550m ($809m) biodiesel project in Singapore, the US petrochemicals engineering firm said on Tuesday.
The plant, running on Neste's proprietary technology, would be the world’s largest "new generation" renewable diesel manufacturing plant with a capacity of 800,000 tonne/year, Jacobs said.?xml:namespace>
Jacobs’ contract included engineering, procurement, and construction management services for the plant, it said but did not disclose financial terms or update on timelines for completion.
Neste said last November it expected to complete the project by the end of 2010.
