NEW DELHI (ICIS news)--India’s Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Co (GNFC) will set up a 50,000 tonne/year ethyl acetate (etac) plant and its fertilizers-cum-petrochemical complex at Bharuch in Gujarat, a company source said on Tuesday.

The plant is expected to be completed by June 2010 as downstream facility to its acetic acid plant.

In March, the company had secured environmental approval to expand acetic acid capacity to 171,000 tonnes/year from 109,080 tonnes/year. The source did not specify acetic acid expansion schedule.
