Thai Lube Base targets H1 Oct slackwax turnaround

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Thai Lube Base will carry out a scheduled maintenance at its Chonburi slackwax refinery in the first half of October for two weeks, a company source said on Wednesday.

Slackwax production was erratic, although the source estimated its output at more than 3,000 tonnes/month, depending on the wax content of feedstock.

Offers for slackwax were heard at $960-1,000/tonne FOB (free on board) Asia Main Port. This price range was for slackwax with 8-30% oil content.

Other southeast Asian producers include Thailand’s IRPC and Indonesia’s Pertamina.
