TOKYO (ICIS news)--Japanese petrochemical producer Polyplastics has established a technical solution centre (ASEAN TSC) in Bangkok, Thailand, to strengthen its technical service to customers, the company said on Friday.

A ceremony was held at the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) in Bangkok, where the centre is located, to mark the opening, it added.

Polyplastics had established a base infrastructure for technical service in the Asia-Pacific region together with a technical solution centre in Shanghai, which was opened in end-2007, the producer said.

Polyplastics is a 55% subsidiary of Japanese chemical maker Daicel Industries and produces plastics such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT).
