BUCHAREST (ICIS news)--Romanian fertilizer producer Azomures is to temporarily cut all 2,000 jobs at its Tirgu Mures site between 1 December-12 January in order to reduce costs, the company said on Thursday.

Employees will get 75% of pay during the break period.

Early this month, Azomures decided to halve output and cut 230 jobs.

Azomures is 55% owned by Turkey’s Transworld Fertilizers Holding. The company produces ammonium nitrate (AN), calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN), urea, complex nitrogen-phosphorous-potassium (NPK) fertilizers and melamine.
