US electronic chem firm opens lab in Europe

NEW YORK (ICIS news)--US electronics chemicals producer Mallinckrodt Baker has opened an applications laboratory in Deventer, the Netherlands, the company said on Wednesday.

The company also announced the expansion of its applications laboratory in Seoul, South Korea, to meet increasing demand for photo-resist strippers and residue removers in the Asia-Pacific region.

"The opening of our new applications facility in Deventer reinforces our commitment to the PV [photovoltaic] industry and also positions us to better serve our IC [integrated circuit ] customers in Europe,” said Terry McGovern, global marketing director, microelectronics.

Mallinckrodt Baker is a business unit of the global healthcare products company Covidien.
