SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Formosa Chemical & Fiber Corp (FCFC) has been running its 600,000 tonne/year purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant at Ningbo in eastern China at near-full capacity after the plant was restarted in early February, a company source said on Thursday.
“The plant had already restarted successfully, and both compressors are running and the daily output is around 1,500 to 2,000 tonnes,” said the source.
The Taiwanese-owned company took the unit off line in early January to correct mechanical problems that prevented the plant from running properly since its start-up last year.
FCFC also operates two 500,000 tonne/year PTA lines at Mailiao in ?xml:namespace>
