SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--China’s Xiang Lu Petrochemical has been running its 1.65m tonne/year purified terephthalic acid (PTA) at Xiamen around 60-70% of nameplate capacity since early March and production levels were likely to stay the same in April, sources close to the company said late on Sunday.
“Many factors are behind the reduced rates, including tight supply of feedstock and our previous mechanical issues,” said one of the sources but declined to specify the nature of the mechanical problems.
