HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Formosa Plastics on Wednesday said it has begun the restart of its Point Comfort olefins II cracker in Texas, which was shut down last week for maintenance.
The company said the shutdown was related to maintenance on the PGC cooler and associated equipment.
The company has two olefins units in Point Comfort.
Point Comfort olefins I has 680,000 tonnes/year of capacity, while olefins II has 816,000 tonnes/year.
