LONDON (ICIS news)--Swedish oxo-alcohols producer Perstorp Oxo has decided to postpone planned maintenance at its Stenungsund-based n-butanol (NBA) plant due to better than expected demand, a company source said on Thursday.

The 100,000 tonne/year plant was due to go down in early May for around 10 days, but will now not be taken down until September.

Increased demand within Europe and from Asia, primarily China, prompted the decision, the company said.

Other European butanol producers include BASF and Oxea.
