LONDON (ICIS news)--Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) producer Altuglas has restarted its plant in Rho, Italy, following planned maintenance, a company source said on Friday.

The plant was placed in turnaround on 1 August and was expected to be fully operational by 1 September, according to the source.

The company source was unable to confirm how much PMMA was removed from the supply chain as a result of the shutdown, but said that August demand was low as the majority of buyers had shut down for the holiday period.

The Rho facility has a capacity of 35,000 tonnes/year, according to ICIS plants and projects.
