SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--Inner Mongolia Yitai Group started commercial production at its 160,000 tonne/year indirect coal liquefaction plant at Ordos, in ?xml:namespace>
“Production is mostly diesel,” the source said in Mandarin. “The plant is running steadily and ramping up the operating rate.”
The coal-to-liquids (CTL) plant can produce diesel, naphtha, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and sulphur, the source said.
The plant started to produce on-spec petroleum products in late March of this year but had to shut down in early April for maintenance following a fire, the source said.
A second series of trial runs took place successfully on 20 September, the source said.
