LONDON (ICIS news)--AkzoNobel's surface chemistry business has formed a European distributor network to provide technologies and products available from its global personal care business unit, the Netherlands-based coatings, paints and specialty chemicals company said on Friday.
The business unit was formed after National Starch Personal Care joined AkzoNobel's surface chemistry business in 2008.
The company said that distributors would deliver all AkzoNobel and former National Starch polymers and surfactants for personal care applications in their respective markets on behalf of AkzoNobel personal care.
“In all European markets, AkzoNobel personal care will directly support global multinational companies as well as some of our major regional accounts,” said Aurelio Schlegel, European marketing communications specialist for personal care at AkzoNobel surface chemistry.
“All other regional customers will be supported via our appointed distributors, who will provide them with a broader and more focused product line to meet all their personal care formulating needs,” he added.
