CRUDE Mar WTI $74.68bbl down 3 cents/bbl BRENT Mar $73.20/bbl down 9 cents/bbl
Crude futures weakened on Wednesday morning, as a stronger US dollar countered any positive impact from an unexpected fall in US crude stocks.
NAPHTHA: First-half March open-spec naphtha edged up to $710.50-713.50/tonne CFR (cost and freight) Japan, from $709-711/tonne CFR on the previous trading day as U.S. crude futures was largely steady at below $75/bbl. The second-half March naphtha contract stood at $703.50-706.50/tonne CFR Japan, while the first-half April contract was pegged at $698.50-701.50/tonne CFR Japan.
BENZENE: Prices were hovering at $990-1,000/tonne FOB
TOLUENE: Trading picked up some pace with two deals reported for April loading at $880/tonne FOB
