SAN ANTONIO (ICIS news)--Huntsman is in talks to set up joint venture (JV) for a world-scale maleic anhydride (MA) project in China, its chief executive said on Monday.
Peter Huntsman would not divulge details, saying: “We are in the throes of negotiating”.
With $2bn (€1.48bn) in cash assets, Huntsman is looking at potential expansions, including bolt-on acquisitions, in Asia and India, involving all but one of its five business divisions, he said on the sidelines of the International Petrochemical Conference (IPC).
Hosted by the National Petrochemical and Refiners Association (NPRA), the IPC continues through Tuesday.
