Thai MMA to shut Mab Ta Phut plant in July for turnaround

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Thai MMA plans to shut its 90,000 tonne/year methyl methacrylate (MMA) plant at Mab Ta Phut Industrial Estate in Thailand's Rayong province in July for a 10-day turnaround, a company source said on Friday.

Thai MMA is a joint venture between Mitsubishi Rayon Co (MRC) of Japan and Siam Cement Group (SCG) of Thailand.

Mitsubishi Rayon is one of the largest MMA producers in Asia.

Other Asian MMA producers include Asahi Kasei, Sumitomo Chemical and Formosa Plastics.
