SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--China’s Qinghai Salt Lake Haina Chemical Co, a subsidiary of Qinghai Salt Lake Industry Group Co, plans to start up three new chemical plants in 2012, a company source said on Wednesday.
The construction of the plants, which include a 400,000 tonne/year caustic soda unit, a 500,000 tonne/year polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plant and a 900,000 tonne/year calcium carbide facility, started on 13 April, the source said.
The plants will be located at the Ganhe Industry Park, in the city of Xining, which is in Qinghai province.
Once the new plants are operational, the revenue from their products was expected to be yuan (CNY) 6.4bn ($937m), the source said.
