LONDON (ICIS news)--AkzoNobel is to build an additional plant worth €17m ($22m) at its Ningbo multi-site in China for its functional chemicals business, the Dutch coatings, paints and specialty chemical company said on Wednesday.
The project, part of AkzoNobel’s €275m investment at Ningbo, would further expand the company's growing organic peroxides activities and was expected to be operational in late 2011, it said.
The formal inauguration of the 50-hectare site would take place in November this year, AkzoNobel said.
