SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--South Korean producer Yeochun Naphtha Cracking Center (YNCC) will take offline its No 3 unit, which produces benzene, toluene and solvent grade xylene (BTX), on Friday 7 May for regular maintenance, a company source said on Thursday.
The facility produces 120,000 tonnes/year of benzene, 60,000 tonnes/year of toluene and 40,000 tonnes/year of solvent grade xylene. It was expected to remain shut for 45 days, the source added.
Other key Korean aromatics producers include SK Energy and GS Caltex.
