GUANGZHOU (ICIS news)--Sinopec subsidiary Guangzhou Petrochemical has shutdown its 200,000 tonne/year linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) plant for scheduled maintenance on 25 May, a company source said on Wednesday.
The maintenance would last around one week, the source added.
Such a short-duration shut down would not create a significant impact on fundamentals, according to market sources.
Guangzhou Petrochemical’s 220,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker and 170,000 tonne/year polypropylene plant, which are located at the same site, are currently running at normal rates, the company source said.
