SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Honam Petrochemical plans to acquire 100% of Malaysia’s Titan Chemicals Corp from Chao Group and Malaysian state-run fund Permodalan Nasional Bhd, a company official said on Friday.
The South Korean company signed a deal on Friday with Titan's major shareholders for control of 73% stake and it expects to get 100% by the end of November at a total cost of about $1.5bn, spokesperson SH Kim added.
