SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Fushun Petrochemical, a subsidiary of PetroChina, plans to start commercial production at its expanded facility in September 2011, a source close to the company said on Friday.

It had earlier been reported that the company expected to complete the relocation of its paraffin wax (p-wax) facility in Liaoning province by 2010.

Following the expansion in 2011, the estimated total production at the relocated facility was expected to be 450,000 tonnes/year, up from around 330,000 tonnes/year at present.

Chinese refineries contribute approximately 70% to the world’s supply of p-wax.
