SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Borouge has started trial production at its new 800,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant in ?xml:namespace>
“We are offering some test supplies and expect the production to stabilise by November,” the source said, but gave no other details.
The company had recently started a 540,000 tonnes polyethylene (PE) facility at the same site in Ruwais in Abu Dhabi,
With the start up of its first PP plant and new PE facility, the total polyolefins capacity of Borogue has gone up to close to 2m tonnes/year.
Borouge is a joint venture between Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (Adnoc) and Austria-based Borealis.
