LONDON (ICIS)--Univar has added the full range of calcium phosphate products from US phosphate producer Innophos to its European portfolio in the pharmaceutical and food industries, the chemical distributor said on Tuesday.

Univar would operate as Innophos’ partner for its calcium phosphates range in Europe which consists of di- and tri-calcium phosphate powders under the Calipharm brand and granular products, Di-TAB, A-TAB and Tri-TAB, it added.

The products are used as a robust tablet filler or a potent source of calcium for many pharmaceutical applications.

Innophos’ plant in Chicago, Illinois, US is one of the world’s largest single manufacturing facilities for specialty calcium phosphate products, Univar said.
