LONDON (ICIS)--Major ?xml:namespace>
Mosaic began settling some fourth-quarter contracts with its major producers at $160/long ton CFR (cost and freight)
The new price was $65/long ton above third-quarter contract prices of $95/long ton CFR, against the backdrop of firming global sulphur prices due to good demand in major import markets such as China and India during the third quarter.
However, the price was higher than the widely anticipated increase of $50/long ton in the market.
($1 = €0.71)
