TORONTO (ICIS)--WR Grace has officially opened a new construction chemicals plant in Vietnam, the US-based specialty chemicals and catalyst producer said on Wednesday.

The plant near Hanoi would produce cement additives and concrete admixtures for growing markets in north and central Vietnam, the company said. It also houses a sales and technical service office as well as a quality control laboratory, it said.

WR Grace did not disclose capacity details or how much money it invested in the facility.

The investment in Vietnam follows WR Grace’s new manufacturing sites in China and Saudi Arabia, which opened this year, it said.
