US ethanol stocks steady despite slower production - EIA

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US fuel ethanol inventories remained steady in the week ended 29 October despite a small drop in production, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday.

Ethanol stocks last week were at 16.3m bbl (685m gal, 2.6bn litres) while daily production fell by nearly 2%, the EIA said in a weekly report.

US ethanol production averaged 865,000 bbl/day in the week ended 29 October, down from 880,000 bbl/day a week before.

Ethanol output in October averaged 873,000 bbl/day (1.14bn gal), up from 855,500 bbl/day in September.
