SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Ningbo ZRCC Lyondell Chemical (NZLC) plans to shut its propylene oxide/styrene monomer (PO/SM) facility in Zhejiang province on 8 November for 7-8 day turnaround, buyers said on Friday.

The nameplate capacity of the plant is 285,000 tonnes/year of PO and 620,000 tonnes/year of SM.

Some repairs had to be done right away even though the plant was due to undergo a two-to-three week long turnaround in December, they said.

The scheduled maintenance in December is planned together with the turnaround of upstream units, a source said.

NZLC is the major PO/SM seller in the key eastern China market.

The company is a joint venture between China's Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Co (ZRCC), a subsidiary of Sinopec, and US's LyondellBasell.
