LONDON (ICIS)--Eastman Chemical Company has completed the expansion of its plasticiser line at the Kohtla-Jarve site in ?xml:namespace>
The expansion has increased Eastman’s Benzoflex plasticiser capacity at the site by 11,000 tonnes/year, it added. Total site capacity was not disclosed by the company.
“Eastman acquired the Benzoflex plasticiser product line with the acquisition of Genovique Specialties Corporation earlier this year,” said Ron Lindsay, executive vice president of Performance Polymers and Chemical Intermediates.
“The Kohtla-Jarve site is an important extension to the production capabilities of Eastman’s plasticiser business... the additional Benzoflex capacity will allow us to continue to meet the growing needs of customers who are looking for sustainable alternatives to traditional phthalate plasticisers,” he added.
