SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Indonesian producer Justus Sakti Raya Corp has restarted its 14,000 tonne/year maleic anhydride (MA) unit on 9 December following a 34-day shutdown for catalyst change, a company source said on Friday.

“We have restarted [the plant] yesterday. It will take us around one week to ramp up [operating rates] to achieve normal operation,” he said.

The facility located at Jakarta was taken off line on 5 November.

Other MA producers in the region include Taiwanese UPC Technology, Japanese Nippon Shokubai and South Korean Yongsan Chemicals.
